It Is What It Is

Surrender to the nature of The Divine may be felt as a deep physical/emotional release at times and at others, just an ordinary feeling of acceptance. The sirens don't go off in these subtle moments of grace and there are no bells and whistles but the moments when we can move beyond the struggle and relax into what is in front of us--whether we like it or not--are significant breakthroughs.

This form of surrender is a knowing that all is well even though this life situation is not what we would choose. When we reach this state we can relax and allow possibilities and solutions to come into our minds. This is actually when the initial, extraordinary states of surrender integrate into a new way of being and relating to the world.

This form of surrender is not to be confused with hopelessness which states, "I dont care", from a state of collapse. Surrender is a feeling of release and true acceptance which supports the life giving currents within us.

As my husband, Andy, says, "It is what it is."
